why colorado
is the perfect place
for your elopment

Sure, this world has so many incredible places to elope. Colorado is one of them and makes for an epic adventure. Here's a quick overview of reasons I think Colorado is a great place for your elopement.

  1. It's accessible right in the middle of the country

  2. Our landscape is diverse

  3. It's gorgeous year round

  4. There is so much to do

  5. Big views for every level of adventurer

let me dive a little deeper

1. Colorado is easy to get to. Being in the middle of the country makes it so you can fly here from either coast without having to spend hours upon hours traveling. This is especially great if you want your elopement to include some of the closest people in your life. Depending on where your destination is, there are regional airports all across the state to cut down on travel time. Or if you want to add even more adventure to your adventure elopement, driving across Colorado is gorgeous and makes for an unforgettable road trip.

2. Colorado landscapes are diverse and allow you so many options. Where do you imagine saying your vows? On a mountain top? A forest of evergreen trees or aspen? Digging your toes into the sand at Great Sand Dunes National Park? Among the red rocks and desert terrain at Garden of the Gods? Lakeside at one of Colorado's alpine lakes like the Maroon Bells or Hanging Lake? Even our mountains are so unique from region to region within the state.

3. There are no bad times of year to come to Colorado. Actually, I love the “off seasons” for elopements because it can make your day even more intimate when you don't have to worry about crowds. Imagine eloping in Winter or even Spring with snow gently falling around you. Or finding a remote spot in Crested Butte surrounded by thousands of wildflowers that pop up in the Summer. Or go explore all the colors and dramatic mountains that Telluride has to offer. There is somewhere amazing to elope anytime of year here in Colorado.
4. Colorado is an adventurer's dream with so many things to do. Hiking, scenic drives through our breathtaking mountains, rock climbing, paddle boarding, checking out our craft breweries and distilleries, and of course skiing and snowboarding. There is something for everyone! If you choose to have guests, it makes it a fun experience for them as well and truly adds to the celebration.

5. You can elope in an EPIC location even if you don't want to hike. Every level of adventurer can find those big views and dramatic backdrops to say their vows. Weather the two of you want to backpack your way to your ceremony or drive a scenic mountain pass to get there. There is so much in between! Colorado has so much to offer and you can truly build your day around an adventure that fits your relationship.
